Generated editorial imagery
The WebP hero images used across the guide were generated specifically for the Langley-BC.ca visual system. They are used as editorial illustrations of Langley themes such as heritage, parks, farms, family activities, seasons and community life. They should not be interpreted as documentary photographs of a specific business, property or event unless the page explicitly identifies them that way.
Platform illustrations
The current first image pass uses locally stored editorial illustrations created for the Langley-BC.ca platform. They cover Langley, Fort Langley, family activities, outdoor recreation and vineyard/countryside themes.
Authentic photography will be added selectively
Real-location photography will be introduced only when the source and reuse rights are clear. Fort Langley, regional parks, seasonal events and other identifiable places benefit from authentic photography, while general planning pages can use the platform illustrations without implying that a generated scene is a documentary photograph.
Our image policy
We do not accept public image uploads. Photographs from tourism websites, social media or business pages are not copied simply because they are publicly visible. Each third-party image must have documented permission, an appropriate licence or another clear reuse basis before it is stored on this site.
